Using the exercise ball makes this variation of the Bulgarian squat very different. A Bulgarian squat is usually performed with one leg on a fixed bench. It also has some similarities to a “pistol squat” where you squat down on one leg (up and down without any support). The pistol squat is very hard for most people.
